New York based sports agent Ron Waxman had some choice words about New England Revolution General Manager Michael Burns, saying he’s “terrible.”
Waxman took aim at Burns and Minnesota United FC Sporting Director Manny Lagos in a tweet sent on Saturday night. Waxman claimed that Burns and Lagos were hurting their respective clubs.
#MNUFC & #NERevs will not succeed while Manny Lagos & Michael Burns, respectively, are in positions of power at the clubs. #MINvSEA #CHIvNE

Waxman would later interact with Revs fans. Although this didn’t provide any clarity about what prompted the tweet, Waxman did reaffirm his negative view of Burns.
He is a terrible GM.

Waxman offered one compliment to Burns, calling him an “honest person.”

Burns played for the Revolution from 1996-2000. In 2005, he returned to his hometown club to serve as the Director of Soccer. He was promoted to Vice President of Player Personnel in 2008. In 2011, he became the Revs General Manager, a position that he still holds today.
The Bent Musket reached out to the Revolution, who declined to comment.
