New England Revolution midfielder Je-Vaughn Watson scored a 50th minute tying goal for Jamaica against the United States in the 2017 Gold Cup Final.

Watson lost his marker, US striker Jordan Morris, and finished past Tim Howard at the back post following a corner kick to tie the match 1-1 early in the second half. Watson’s goal came on Jamaica’s first shot of the match as the US dominated possession in the first half. It was Watson’s fourth international goal for the Reggae Boyz as they played in their second consectutive final in CONCACAF’s regional championship. The Gold Cup Final is still in progress in the second half on FS1 at the time of publication.
Jozy Altidore opened the scoring in the 45th minute with a direct free kick. Jamaica goalkeeper Andre Blake left the game in the first half with a hand injury following a double save on Altidore and Kellyn Acosta.
