On Sunday afternoon, Italian soccer legends Francesco Totti, Alessandro Del Piero and Paolo Maldini will visit Boston for a pair of free, open-to-the-public events leading up to the International Champions Cup bout between AS Roma and Juventus. The events will include Q&A, hosted by ESPN’s Gabreiele Marcotti, with all three players.
Trattoria II Panino in Boston’s North End (11 Parmenter Street) will host the first event, which will take place from 2:00-3:00 p.m.
The second event will take place from 4:00-5:00 p.m. at The Banshee, one of Boston’s most popular soccer pubs. Fans can join the fun at 934 Dorchester Ave.
During both events, Totti—who played his entire career for Roma—may have a few words for his former National Team teammate Del Piero, who played for Juventus from 1993-2012. Juventus won six Serie A titles over that span.
And while it’s just a friendly, the stakes rise any time I Giallorossi and La Vecchia Signora meet.
