This afternoon, I might finally prove that Connecticut is once and for all, a part of New England.
New England Revolution midfielder Kelyn Rowe will be handed his full debut for the United States today as head coach Bruce Arena has named him to the starting lineup for a friendly against Ghana.

Fellow Revs teammates Juan Agudelo will be on the US bench with Dom Dwyer also making his first appearance for the USMNT and Gershon Koffie will be available as a substitute for Ghana.
We’ll see if Rowe and Joe Corona switch their roles on the left and central of the attacking midfield. It probably doesn’t matter to Rowe though the playmaker would probably prefer the middle of the field to make a good first impression and Corona has been effective as a wide player in the past. Kellyn Acosta and Dax McCarty make a solid pairing in the holding roles for the USA.
Chicago Fire speedster David Accam starts up top for Ghana and Matt Besler and Matt Hedges will have to be at their best in order to deal with him in the middle. The USMNT begins the 2017 Gold Cup next week. Ghana fell to Mexico 1-0 earlier in the week in Houston thanks to an Elias Hernandez first half penalty.
