Seeking a return to U.S. Open Cup final, the Revolution host the Rochester Rhinos tonight at Providence College. And, as with any Open Cup match, all eyes will focus on Jay Heaps’ Starting XI.

In last year’s Open Cup debut, the Revs beat the Carolina RailHawks, 1-0, behind a 103rd-minute goal from Zachary Herivaux. Heaps fielded a lineup that closely resembled his weekly 11, with Herivaux, Donnie Smith and Jordan McCrary serving as the only irregular names to start the match. In the second half, Chris Tierney, Kei Kamara and Lee Nguyen came off the bench, further demonstrating Heaps’ desire to advance in the tournament.

So, how will the Revs gaffer treat tonight’s match? With his team coming off a week and a half of rest, Heaps could opt for a similar lineup, with just a few reserve players seeing action. He could also turn the match over to his secondary unit, giving valuable minutes to players like Teal Bunbury, London Woodberry and Brad Knighton (Heaps has already vowed to give minutes to these three veterans, according to Jeff Lemieux).

Who would you start against Rochester, the former Revolution affiliate?
