Midge Purce called up to U23s for Nordic tournament

Margaret Purce has been called up to the USWNT U23s by acting head coach B.J. Snow ahead of their Open Nordic Tournament in Sweden. The tournament runs from June 6 through June 12.

Purce joins six other NWSL players on the roster. Though the U23s leave on June 1, Purce should be available for Boston’s June 3 away game against the Orlando Pride and will join the U23s afterwards.

Purce most recently played with the U23s during their March tournament in La Manga and scored a goal against Japan in a 2-0 win. Morgan Andrews was also on that La Manga roster, but will not be joining Purce this time in Sweden.
