Former New England Revolution striker and Designated Player Jerry Bengston has found a new home fairly close to home.
The Honduras international has signed with Costa Rica giants Saprissa per a team release. Bengston signed with Iranian clubs Persepolis and Zob Ahan after leaving the Revolution in 2015. He scored 15 goals while playing for the two Iranian clubs in a combined 46 appearances.
Saprissa compiled a highlight video welcoming Bengston to the club, which featured a Revs goal against Houston and a Honduras goal against the United States.
