Revolution v. Dynamo: Injury Reports

The Revs are at full health for the second straight week.

For the second consecutive week, the New England Revolution have reported a clean bill of health. This means that head coach Jay Heaps will have plenty of options when he pens his starting XI.

The biggest question regards the backline. Last week Heaps opted to start rookie Josh Smith over veteran Benjamin Angoua. Smith’s performance against the Portland Timbers earned plenty of praise with Heaps saying he “handled himself extremely well.“ Will Smith remain the starter or will Angoua regain his spot?

Xavier Kouassi is another player to watch, as Saturday could mark his home debut. The midfielder played 90 minutes last Sunday after taking the previous week off. Will Kouassi go the distance against the Houston Dynamo?

The Dynamo had a number of players missing when they played the New York Red Bulls last weekend. Agus (left hamstring), Juan David Cabezas (concussion), George Malki (torn left ACL), Romell Quioto (left shoulder dislocation), Leonardo (right hamstring), and Joe Willis (right knee) were all sidelined. Their statuses for Saturday are currently unknown.
