It’s not every day that you run into a celebrity, let alone 90’s pop star Vanilla Ice, but that’s what happen to Kei Kamara this past Saturday.
The New England Revolution striker was on a pregame walk when he ran into the rapper who once wowed audiences with his hit song “Ice Ice Baby.” The star sighting warranted a double take from Kamara.
“I starred him down a few times and then he looked at me and then put the shades on and tried to go away,” Kamara explained. “I was like, ‘Do you mind if I please get a picture?’ He was like, ‘Yeah, sure.’ So it was cool.”
The interaction got Kamara a picture, as well as an Instagram video that features the two doing a bit of rapping. All it all, it was a nice encounter for Kamara.
“When you meet people like that and they’re down to earth and they can just have fun with you for two to three seconds, it means a lot,“ Kamara said.
