Five Revolution players earned a spot on mlssoccer.com’s Team of the Week following a 5-2 thumping of Minnesota United. That honor may never happen again—partly because the Revs turned in an attacking performance for the ages, and partly because just six teams played in week four.
But none of that should matter for Revolution supporters. This week, the men in navy and red received all the accolades.
Attackers Diego Fagundez, Lee Nguyen, Kei Kamara and Juan Agudelo, along with defender Chris Tierney, all earned recognition, while Head Coach Jay Heaps received coach of the week honors.
MLS also showered praise on Columbus Crew SC, who took down the previously-undefeated Timbers on Saturday. Artur, Harrison Afful and Federico Higuain all earned spots in the Starting XI.
Red Bulls defender Aaron Long, Timbers midfielder Sebastian Blanco and Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Matt Van Oekel rounded out the roster.
