The 2017 International Champions Cup (ICC) will end at Gillette Stadium this summer as Gillette Stadium will host Italian club giants Juventus and AS Roma.
The midsummer friendly competition will also feature England Premier League sides Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, Spain’s La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid as well as France’s Paris St-Germain.
Juventus and Roma will be the final match of the tournament and will take place on July 30th at 4pm Eastern and televised on ESPN.
Through 29 games played, Juventus currently leads Roma by eight points in the Serie A standings. Juventus has only dropped points five times this year en route to a 24W-4L-1D campaign. Roma’s 21-6-2 record has them two points clear of third place Napoli and in the top two automatic group stage spots for next year’s 2017-18 UEFA Champions League.
Juventus reached the quarterfinals of this season’s UCL, beating Porto 3-0 on aggregate and drew Barcelona in the quarters which will happen next month. Roma was eliminated from the UCL by Porto in the final qualifying round but entered the Europa League. Roma won Group E and advanced to the Round of 16 in the knockout stages before falling to Lyon 5-4 on aggregate.
Manchester United will also play friendlies against MLS sides Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto on July 17th and LA Galaxy at the Stub Hub Center on July 15th.
