Tonight, the Revolution’s roommates from Gillette Stadium will compete with the Atlanta Falcons for a Super Bowl title.
Ahead of the big game, the Revs took a break from preseason training in Casa Grande, Ariz., to show their support. The team donned “Do Your Job” tees, which highlight Patriots Coach Bill Belichick’s oft-quoted mantra.
As the Patriots head into the final game of the 2016 NFL season, the Revolution will continue preparations for MLS First Kick 2017. The team has a busy preseason calendar ahead, with five matches to play before month’s end.
None of those matches involve Atlanta United, who will soon split a home stadium with the Falcons. Yet earlier this weekend, AUFC and the Revolution set up a friendly Super Bowl wager. If the Patriots prevail, Atlanta United President Darren Eales will don a Revolution kit; if the Falcons win, Revolution head man Brian Bilello will wear an AUFC kit.
The two teams shared exchanges on Twitter to solidify the bet.
Go Pats!
