The New England Revolution could be eyeing U.S. international Eric Lichaj, according to The Nottingham Post.

The article, which was posted on Monday, states that several MLS club are interested in the fullback, though the Revs are the only team mentioned by name.

Lichaj currently plays for Nottingham Forest of the English Championship. His future is currently up in the air, as his contract expires this summer. The article notes that it’s possible that Lichaj will re-sign with his current club.

Lichaj certainly fits a need for the Revs, who only have three defenders on their roster. The 29-year-old would likely occupy the right back position, though he has played on the left before.

More than that, Lichaj would bring with him a wealth of experience, including time with Aston Villa, Lincoln City, and Leeds United. He has also accrued 14 caps with the U.S. Men’s National Team and was part of the team that won the CONCACAF Gold Cup last summer.
