Boston Breakers defender Whitney Engen has been called up the 21-player USWNT roster for their September friendlies against Thailand and the Netherlands.

The United States will play Thailand on September 15 in Columbus, Ohio and then will play The Netherlands on September 18 in Atlanta, Georgia.

The 21 players called up all went to the 2016 Olympics on the main roster or as an alternate. Jill Ellis previously told US Soccer that these two friendlies would be for the Olympic players before she started the evaluation process.

Of note, former longtime Boston Breaker Heather O’Reilly will play her last game for the WNT on September 15. She announced her retirement from international soccer just over a week ago, but will continue to play for her club, FC Kansas City.

USA vs Thailand will kick off at 8 PM ET on Thursday, September 15, and will air live on ESPN2.
