For the third time in his MLS career, Revolution midfielder Kelyn Rowe earned MLS Player of the Week honors.
It’s a fitting award for Rowe, who scored twice and contributed an assist during Saturday’s 3-1 win over the Montreal Impact. The victory helped the Revs move above the red line and into playoff position, with D.C. United—who has played one fewer match than the Revs—falling into 7th place.
September continues to serve Rowe well, as the UCLA alum has now contributed an assist in three consecutive matches. He has looked particularly effective in the center attacking midfield role, where he featured underneath Juan Agudelo and Lee Nguyen during wins vs. Colorado and NYCFC.
During his breakout performance against Montreal, Rowe featured out wide, where he tucked underneath to score in the 27th minute and again in the 59th minute.
