The future looks bright for the Revolution, who recently had three players—Juan Agudelo, Femi Hollinger-Janzen and Diego Fagundez—named to MLSsoccer.com’s initial “24 Under 24” list.
The 50-player short list recognizes the top young talent in MLS. On Monday, the league will trim its selections to 24 names; the final five names will be revealed on Sept. 22.
Agudelo and Fagundez have each appeared on the final 24-man list on four occasions, while Hollinger-Janzen—who caught fire early into his rookie season—seeks his first appearance. In 2015, Kelyn Rowe (20th overall) and Andrew Farrell (16th) joined Agudelo (13th) and Fagundez (17th) on the final list.
All MLS players age 23 or younger before Oct. 23, 2016 are eligible for nomination. A panel of top soccer media members, as well as the MLSsoccer.com editorial staff, select the final list of 24 rising stars.
