The players of New England Revolution have a deep affection for the fans that support them every week. They love to hear the chats, see the signs, and feel the energy. As a small token of appreciation, captain Lee Nguyen sported a special armband on Saturday as a tribute to the Revs' two biggest supporters' groups: the Midnight Riders and Rebellion.
Though simple, the white armband that featured the two logos is a reminder of why they play the game.
After Saturday's 2-0 home loss to Columbus Crew SC, there was a sense of disappointment in the locker room. Kei Kamara summed it up best, noting that the team is always looking to grab full points when playing in front of their loyal supporters.
"You want to score more goals when you’re home," Kamara noted. "The fans are amazing, and you really want to feed off that, but it’s just tough."
