When the New England Revolution return to Foxborough to play New York City FC on July 6, there will be a new playing surface at their home venue. That's because FieldTurf Revolution 360 (2.5") is being installed at Gillette Stadium.
During a rare break in the action at Gillette Stadium, which hosts the Revs, Patriots, concerts, and more, the turf is being upgraded. The old surface is being torn up and replaced with the latest technology. The process was recently documented by the stadium's official Twitter account.

While the picture above makes it appear that there's still lots of work to be done, everything is expected to be in place by next week as the Revs host consecutive home matches. The team will first play NYCFC on Wednesday before welcoming Columbus Crew SC on Saturday.
