The defensive midfielder had a "near perfect night," according to Revolution coach Jay Heaps.

Gershon Koffie had himself quite a week.

Koffie returned to the field on Saturday after serving a one-game suspension. The midfielder was sensational over 90 minutes against Toronto FC, as he made six interceptions and took two shots while maintaining 92% passing accuracy. The performance earned him a spot on the MLSSoccer.com's Team of the Week.

Head coach Jay Heaps foreshadowed the accolade in his post-game press conference when said that Koffie had "a near perfect night with the ball and defensively."

Koffie become a member of the New England Revolution on February 11, 2016 after being traded from the Vancouver Whitecaps. He has become an integral part of his new team, already playing 404 minutes over five games.
