It didn't take long for Diego Fagundez to make a statement.
Just three minutes into the New England Revolution's season opener against the Houston Dynamo, Fagundez hit a wonder strike that will surely be a contender for MLSSoccer.com's Goal of the Week award. The opportunity came after a failed clearance by the Dynamo defense and gave the visitors a 1-0 lead.

The tally is exactly what Revolution fans want to see from the 21-year-old, who is now entering his sixth MLS season. Fagundez has been highly touted every since he signed with the Revolution at age 15. In 2013, he scored a career-high 13 goals but didn't come near that number in subsequent seasons.
While it might be difficult for him to reach the high he hit in 2013 again, Fagundez could be primed for a big year, especially if he has more goals like that in him.
