United States 0, Guatemala 2 - That Was Pants

The United States lost to Guatemala 2-0 and now sit in third place and outside of The Hex for CONCACAF World Cup qualifying.

First half goals from Guatemala's Rafael Morales and Carlos Ruiz put the USA into a hole they could not dig out of despite the efforts of second half sub Darlington Nagbe. New England Revolution midfielder Lee Nguyen was an unused substitute.

In simpler terms, the USMNT and Jurgen Klinsmann were pants tonight. And I'm done talking about them.

And the Hartford Whalers are a better team than the USMNT.

However, I'm really excited for the Connecticut Huskies Women's basketball game in Bridgeport, CT tomorrow morning. It's an 1130am tip off against 5th seeded Mississippi State. Also have tickets for the Elite 8 Regional Final on Monday night that could see UConn against UCLA or Texas.

Breanna Stewart is going for her fourth straight NCAA title as a senior AND her fourth Final Four MVP award. Also, I want to see her dunk in one of these next two games since I'm pretty sure she's never done it before and it would a far better play than anything I assume the USMNT did tonight.

Safe travels to all the Riders, Rebels and Revs fans down to Yankee Stadium tomorrow.
