Lee Nguyen has been called up to the US Men's National Team ahead of two World Cup Qualifiers against Guatemala.

Nguyen, 29, was most recently with the national team this winter, playing in friendlies against Canada and Iceland. The New England Revolution midfielder looked sharp and received plenty of praise. Head coach Jurgen Klinsmann even called Nguyen "one of the winners of this period."

Nguyen recently signed a new contract with the Revolution, a team that he's been with since 2012. In total, he has played 129 games in Revs blue, amassing 34 goals and 24 assists. Although he has yet to get on the scoresheet through two games, he currently leads the team with six shots.

Nguyen and the USMNT will train in Miami, FL before traveling to Estadio Mateo Flores in Guatemala City for a game on Friday, Mar. 25. Kickoff is set for 10 p.m. ET. The return match will take place at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, Mar. 29 at 7 p.m. ET.

The Revs are scheduled to face New York City FC on Saturday, Mar. 26 before welcoming the New York Red Bulls on Friday, Apr. 1.
