After a wild season opener that saw a grand total of six goals, the New England Revolution return to home to Gillette Stadium.
Last Sunday, the Revs tied the Houston Dynamo 3-3, thanks in large part to Diego Fagundez. The 21-year-old midfielder scored one goal while playing helper on two others. The Revs will hope to get more of the same from the dynamic youngster, but he will need help from Lee Nguyen, Teal Bunbury, and Charlie Davies.
Defensively, the Revolution will be looking for an improved performance as the back line looked shaky against the Dynamo. Andrew Farrell and Jose Goncalves need to find a rhythm in order for the team to succeed this year.
Fortunately for the Revs, D.C. United is dealing with a host of injuries, including goalkeeper Bill Hamid and defender Chris Korb. Forward Fabián Espíndola, a known Revs killer, is listed as questionable.
