Robbie Keane could have joined Revolution, if not for poor communication

The Irishman was interested in joining the Revs, according to Frank Dell'Apa of The Boston Globe.

Robbie Keane spent six seasons with the LA Galaxy, but it turns out he was originally interested in joining the New England Revolution, according to Frank Dell'Apa of The Boston Globe.

Keane signed with the Galaxy in 2011 after 15 years of playing in Europe. During this time, Keane established himself as a regular for the Irish National Team and was named captain in March 2006.

Upon arriving stateside, Keane did what he's always done: score goals. In fact, the forward amassed 92 goals and 31 assists in 146 appearances.

Revs fans will remember one goal more than the others, however, as Keane scored the game-winner in the 2014 MLS Cup. You can't help but wonder if things would've been different if Keane had signed with the Revolution back in 2011.
