Diego Fagundez scored a goal that will likely spark transfer rumors

Go on, Diego.

Every year brings at least a couple of Diego Fagundez transfer rumors. Remember when the New England Revolution midfielder was linked to Atalanta B.C.? Or how about when Palermo was said to have expressed interest? Perhaps you recall this rumor that connected Fagundez to no less than three Serie A clubs.

As you can see, there has been plenty of talk about Fagundez moving overseas. With the offseason looming, don't be surprised if more whispers emerge, especially after the goal Fagundez scored on Sunday.

With his team needing to erase a 12-goal differential, Fagundez stepped up and took a free kick against the Montreal Impact in the 13th minute. The ensuing shot was a beauty, as the ball kissed the post before settling in the back of the net.

The nearly 40,000 fans in the attendance were surely disappointed that their hometown team was virtually eliminated from the playoffs. That said, they got to see a sensational goal from one of the league's most promising prospects.
