And it's wicked cool.

I know that everyone, and by everyone I mean the rest of you, want to desperately change the current New England Revolution logo.

That didn't happen, but their PDL affiliate the Boston Rams did release a new logo on Facebook yesterday and I think it's a solid new look.

The team's main yellow and black colors stay, though there is a new Euro-stylized badge featuring a posed Ram standing with a soccer ball. An intersecting "BR" also appears to be a new secondary logo, along with a new primary font for the rebranded Rams, who have dropped the "Real" and "SC" from their official name as well.

I am usually not a fan of the "European" style of badges, shields and circles that have become the standard in MLS in recent years. But I'm going to make an exception for this one, from Oxide Design Co. in Omaha, Nebraska, because the Rams have an actual American nickname to work with and it's really good. That badge should look epic on a jersey and while it might have a European influence, the block and jagged nature gives it a very unique yet simple style.

The Rams and Revolution have had a partnership since 2013 allowing Revs academy alumni who are college age players to play for the PDL team while maintaining their homegrown status.

Way to go Rams, let's hope there's a jersey leak sometime in the near future as well.
