Preseason is here for the New England Revolution as the players reported to Gillette Stadium on Friday for entrance physicals. The guys will return today for their first day of training as well as their first media availability. While we weren't there for day one (we will be for day two), social media gave us a glimpse at the first preparations of 2016. Let's take a look.
Team staff writer and online host Jeff Lemieux provided a picture of a familiar scene: the locker room door.

Lemieux also captured a smiling Charlie Davies, a clear indication that the striker is ready to back on the field.
We couldn't even let Charlie get into the locker room before making him pose. Welcome back, Chuck! #NERevs pic.twitter.com/pca2VkIuNa

The Revolution's official Twitter account gave us an up-close look at Jay Heaps' beard.

Meanwhile, the Revolution's official Instagram captured the gaffer talking to the troops.
That's it for day one. Stayed tuned as we bring you all the news from day two.
