The United States kicks off against Brazil tonight in their last friendly match before the crucial CONCACAF Cup against Mexico next month.
The winner of the single match between the USA and El Tri will represent the region at the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia. The USMNT last played in the tournament in 2009, reaching the finals before losing to Brazil 3-2.
The New England Revolution's Jermaine Jones hopes to start for the US in central midfield, he played 71 minutes against Peru where the USMNT won 2-1 thanks to a Jozy Altidore brace. This club team the New England Revolution defeated Orlando City SC 3-0 over the weekend who were without DP playmaker Kaka on international duty with Brazil.
Brazil represents one of the more lopsided series in USMNT history, with the Americans lone result in the series coming all the way back in 1998. Check out my preview of the game before kickoff and stick around as we'll have live commentary below in the comments throughout the match.
