Game Thread Revolution v. Dynamo

The New England Revolution welcome the Houston Dynamo on Saturday night.

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

On Saturday night the New England Revolution face their final Western Conference opponent when they welcome the Houston Dynamo to Gillette Stadium.

Now members of different conferences, there's no love loss between the two clubs. The Dynamo bested the Revs for the MLS Cup in 2005, 2006, and 2007. The Revolution did get some redemption when they hoisted the SuperLiga Championship at home in 2007.

There won't be a trophy on the line on Saturday night, but the action should be fierce as both teams will want to improve their position in the standings. The Revs are currently seated fifth in the East while the Dynamo are seventh in the West. Both clubs are unbeaten in three.

The Revs quest to stay undefeated will be aided by Jermaine Jones, who will be returning to the starting lineup for the first time since undergoing bilateral hernia surgery.
