When Jermaine Jones took the field against Portugal at the 2014 World Cup, he had two goals: collect three points and obtain a jersey from Cristiano Ronaldo.

Despite a long-range cracker from Jones, the US national team failed to beat the European powerhouse as the teams finished level at 2-2. The second task was met with success, however, as the family man grabbed a Ronaldo jersey for his child.

"My boy asked me if he could have Cristiano’s jersey," Jones said in an interview with Campus Sports. "I was like, ‘boy, that’s going to be tough. I think a lot of us boys are going to try to get that jersey.’ So, we played and then after the game I’m like, ‘hey, do you got a jersey for my boy?’ He said, ‘yeah, yeah." Then he went back and got me the jersey."

Jones had nothing but nice things to say about the global star that is Ronaldo. In fact, Jones stated that if he could be any other soccer player, he’d be Ronaldo.
