Revolution vs NYC FC: Injuries, suspensions and more

Who's in? Who's out?

I looks like New York City FC will be without several of their stars when they face the New England Revolution on Saturday night.

NYC's most recent injury report lists Frank Lampard (calf strain), Connor Brandt (abductor strain), and Tony Taylor (ACL surgery) as out and Javier Calle (quad strain) and Khiry Shelton (MCL strain) as questionable. Additionally, Andrea Pirlo is still working towards full fitness while Mix Diskerud is away on international duty.

The Revs will also have some absences as Darrius Barnes (left knee surgery) and Jermaine Jones (left groin strain) remain out with their respective long-term injuries. Kevin Alston is also expected to miss Saturday's game because of a left hamstring strain. Meanwhile, Jose Goncalves will be forced to serve a one-game suspension after receiving a red card last weekend.

An interesting piece of news surfaced yesterday from Tom Quinlan of Revs Review, who claimed that Bobby Shuttleworth was injured during practice this week. If true, Brad Knighton is the most likely candidate to step in-between the sticks.
