The Boston Breakers have coyly been hinting at big plans on twitter for a day or so, and today finally revealed their grand plan: a City Hall Plaza watch party for USA vs. Colombia in the Women’s World Cup round of 16.
Join us at this year's Viewing Party! Glad to be teaming up w/ @BostonBreakers to support the US Women's Soccer Team. pic.twitter.com/6wZS54pHoe

Mayor Marty Walsh joined in the announcement, officially partnering with the Boston Breakers for the event. The watch party sounds similar to what City Hall set up for last year’s Men’s World Cup, so expect big screens and bring your own chair if you want to sit down.
It’s always good to see Boston getting more involved with soccer, and this will no doubt give the Breakers a boost in local awareness, just in time for a streak of three home games in a row.
The United States plays Colombia at 8 PM ET on Monday, June 22.
