Diego Fagundez Is Up For MLS Goal of the Week

The Revs' Homegrown Player is up for MLS Goal of the Week. Go Vote!

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

Just in case any New England Revolution fan was living under a rock this past weekend, Diego Fagundez had himself quite the game against the Chicago Fire.

In what marked his 100th appearance in Major League Soccer and with the Revs, Diego got a hockey assist on Charlie Davies' insurance tally, but more importantly scored this beauty.

As the ball came out of the air, Diego instinctively unleashed a venomous volley that no goalie in the entire world could stop. To put it simply, John Busch stood absolutely no chance. Now guess what? The goal is up for MLS Goal of the Week!

It's been a while since a Revs player won the award, so click here to vote for a goal that Diego dubbed the best of his career.

He's up against Federico Higuain, Sebastian Lletget, Lamar Neagle, and David Villa. In spite of all of that firepower, Diego has to win, right?
