The New England Revolution are hoping to get back to their winning ways when they host the Chicago Fire at Gillette Stadium on Saturday night.
Previously on a nine-game undefeated run, the Revs haven’t captured three points since May 2. Their most recent outing was a 2-0 loss to the Portland Timbers in which they conceded late twice. A little home cooking might be what’s needed to get off the schneid as the Revolution are 10-0-6 within the confines of Gillette since July 30, 2014.
With the exceptions of the injured Darrius Barnes and Jermaine Jones, the Revs should be at full strength this weekend, a statement that isn’t true for Chicago. The Fire will be without three players due to international duty: David Accam (Ghana), Shuan Maloney (Scotland), and Joevin Jones (Trinidad and Tobago). They also have a key injury-related absence in Patrick Nyarko.
