It looks like Jermaine Jones is going back under the knife.
On Friday, the New England Revolution midfielder announced via Twitter that he was prepping for surgery. The news comes approximately two weeks after Jones suffered a non-contact injury during a 2-2 draw with the LA Galaxy on May 31.

After the Galaxy game, Jones spoke bluntly about his condition, saying, "It’s really bad and I don’t feel really good with it."
The US international did not travel with the Revs to Portland last weekend and was omitted from the USMNT's 35-man Gold Cup roster. He has been listed as out on the last two Revs injury reports.
This will be the second time this year that the 33-year-old will require surgery as Jones took time off in February to correct a sports hernia. The surgery required him to miss the first five games of the season
