Rafinha went from not even being considered for the Brazil national team roster to getting subbed in to a World Cup match.
The midfielder saw her first World Cup 2015 action as a late sub in Brazil's opening group match against South Korea, coming on in the 91' for Andressa Alves.

Rafinha was initially slated to be with the Boston Breakers throughout the season, signed alongside Bia to replace Tom Durkin's original selections of Francielle and, in a slight twist, Andressa Alves. Then injuries hit the Brazil roster and both Rafinha and Bia were asked to fly into camp on short notice. From there Rafinha made her way onto the final roster as a last-minute replacement for an injured Erika.
Brazil next plays Spain on June 13 in Montreal.
