Revolution v. LA Galaxy: Injury Report, Suspensions, and More

Neither team will likely be using a first-choice starting lineup.

Sunday's rematch of the 2014 MLS Cup will have a different look as neither team will likely be using a first-choice starting lineup.

For the New England Revolution, Chris Tierney and Lee Nguyen, both of whom started in last year's final, will be suspended after receiving red cards in last weekend's 1-1 draw with D.C. United. Tierney is likely to be replaced by Kevin Alston or Jeremy Hall while Kelyn Rowe and Daigo Kobayashi are relief candidates for Nguyen.

Fortunately for the Revs, the rest of the team looks healthy as Darrius Barnes (left knee surgery) is the only player listed as out on the most recent injury report.

The Galaxy, however, have a few injury concerns as goalkeeper Brian Perk (ankle fracture) is classified as out while defenders Todd Dunivant (quad), Robbie Rogers (ankle) and A.J. DeLaGarza (groin) are questionable. The Galaxy will also be without Bradford Jamieson IV, who is with the US-20 national team.

When creating his starting lineup, head coach Bruce Arena will certainly be considering his team's fixture congestion. The Galaxy defeated Real Salt Lake 1-0 on Wednesday, only days before making the cross-country trip to Gillette Stadium.
