As they tend to do, the New England Revolution got in on the fun, claiming that they've been docked three points by not following the proper protocol related to using the yellow soccer ball. Adding to the legitimacy of the claim was the acting of club president Brian Bilello, who could merit an Academy Award nomination.

Was the prank on par with the legend of Luis "El Lobo" Fangoso? No, of course not. But the prank is believable and well-produced, which are two elements needed to make a good prank.

If nothing else, the response of Revolution staff writer and online host Jeff Lemieux was worth a chuckle.
