After an impressive preseason and an additional two weeks training during the regular season, I guess the New England Revolution had seen enough.

Timi Mulgrew, an undrafted rookie from George Mason, was signed earlier today according to a team press release. Per club and league policy, the terms and conditions of the deal were not disclosed.

Mulgrew played in all six preseason games for the Revs, including four at the Desert Diamond Cup, tallying one assist in those appearances. The four-year player scored 26 times with 12 assists in 74 games for the A-10 Patriots, including 13 his senior season with 7 game winners, tops in the NCAA regular season in 2014.

That senior season put Mulgrew on the All A-10 team and his junior season he led George Mason to the A-10 title and the second round of the College Cup. Mulgrew suffered with allergies and headaches early in his collegiate career that required hospitalization to treat but recovered to have stellar junior and senior seasons.

Mulgrew will join an attacking corps that includes Juan Agudelo, Charlie Davies, Diego Fagundez, Sean Okoli and the now injured Teal Bunbury. It's also possible that Mulgrew will see some time with the Revs USL affiliate the Rochester Rhinos when those loanees are announced closer to the USL season.

According to the team release, Mulgrew will wear number 92, Dimitry Imbongo's old number. The Revolution's next game is their home opener this Saturday, March 21 at 3PM against the Montreal Impact
