Despite beating Julio Cesar on a blistering left-footed strike, Patrick Mullins fell to Teal Bunbury and his curling upper-90 finish. Bunbury will face Lee Nguyen in the championship round.

After receiving a patient pass from Kevin Alston, and taking a touch to create space, Nguyen curled a flawless strike past a frozen Tally Hall. The goal served as a 65th-minute equalizer for the Revolution.

On the end of a scrappy passage of play, Nguyen received an aerial through ball, settled, and took a lateral touch past goalkeeper Troy Perkins. As the Montreal defense closed in, Nguyen played a gorgeous chip into the back of the net, calmly scoring the eventual game-winner.
