Big addition to Revs injury report ahead of MLS Playoffs

The Revs could be missing a key defender when they face DC United on Wednesday.

The New England Revolution might be missing an important piece when they face DC United on Wednesday as London Woodberry is listed as "questionable" on the most recent injury report.

Woodberry, who started at right back in the Revolution's two most recent games, was forced to exit early during Sunday's finale against New York City FC. It is now confirmed that the 24-year-old is hampered by a left knee sprain.

If Woodberry is unable to go on Wednesday, Kevin Alston appears to be the favorite to start in his stead. The seven-year veteran replaced Woodberry this weekend and is steady when healthy. Another possibility is Jeremy Hall, who made the right back position his for several consecutive matches at the tail end of the season.

Darrius Barnes is another option, though probably far-fetched considering that he's coming off a serious injury. Barnes has been sidelined since Apr. 23 after undergoing left knee surgery. That said, the Duke product has been practicing and was recently upgraded to questionable on the injury report.
