The Boston Breakers have waived Rafinha, Bia and Suzane Pires. These players are now available to other teams to pick up.
Should no other team offer a waived player a contract, that player becomes a Discovery player and is available to any team. For a more thorough breakdown of the waiver process, see here.
Rafinha and Bia never quite meshed with the team as a whole, hampered by unexpected callups into Brazil's national camp before the World Cup. Pires also didn't pay off, managing one assist and three shots in twelve games.
The loss of Rafinha and Bia clears a few international spots on the Breakers roster, which new head coach Matt Beard may fill with players he's developed relationships with as a coach in the FA WSL.
