Matt Reis was one of the most entertaining players off the field. Will he hold the same status when it comes to the digital world? He will soon find out as the former New England Revolution goalkeeper has apparently joined Twitter.
Reis, who currently works as a goalkeeping coach for the LA Galaxy, joined the social media site late on Friday. He tweeted a couple of quick hellos before asking an old friend for some help.
@TaylorTwellman hello so how does this work

Veterans of Twitter will remember a fake Reis account surfacing during his time with the Revolution. This one appears to be legit as it was introduced by Revs Vice President of Marketing Cathal Conlon. The account is also followed by several notable members of the Revolution community, including beat writer Kyle McCarthy and Director of Digital Media Jason Dalrymple.
Should the account turn out to be a hoax, it would certainly be disappointing since we all have our favorite Matt Reis moments. My favorite occurred during a one-on-one interview with the netminder. After asking him if Clint Dempsey had grown during his time in Europe, Reis' stone-faced response was, "I don't think he's gotten any taller."
Please be a real Reis account because we need moments like that.
