After tearing down the middle of the park, finishing from distance and celebrating like only JoGo could, Goncalves ran away with Round 1D of our Goal of the Year Bracket. The Revs center back will face Teal Bunbury in Round 2.

Lee Nguyen curls home a go-ahead goal vs. Sporting K.C.  /  Sept. 3, 2014

Nguyen, having darted forward after causing a Sporting K.C. turnover, found himself with space at the top of the box. Without hesitation, the Revs playmaker curled a shot past Andy Gruenebaum, giving the Revs a lead early in the second frame.

Following a quick restart from Charlie Davies, Nguyen collected a Scott Caldwell through ball and ran down the left flank. Though Teal Bunbury opened to his right, Nguyen pushed forward alone, creating space alongside two defenders before slotting a stoppage-time game-winner past Jon Busch.
