The summer transfer window has officially come to a close but that doesn't mean the New England Revolution are set with their roster.

Club President Brian Bilello sent the following tweet hours before the window expired:

Moments later, Bilello responded to a Twitter inquiry by saying that the player in question wouldn't occupy a supplemental slot.

It will be interesting to see who the Revs will add. Past midseason acquisitions include Charlie Davies (2013), Dimitry Imbongo (2012), and Jerry Bengtson (2012). Not all of these players were added during the summer transfer window.

There are a number of positions that the Revs could be looking to improve, including striker, defensive midfielder and winger. Team officials have recently expressed interest in adding an "attacking player."

With Bengtson on loan and Andy Dorman on the disabled list, the Revolution currently have four open roster slots. Although the summer transfer window has closed, the MLS roster freeze isn't until 5 p.m. ET on September 15. The Revs may continue to add free agents or make intraleague trades.
