Rochester Rhinos (8-7-7), 31 points, 6th place
Rochester got passed in the standings by Harrisburg City Islanders, which held on to defeat Orlando City on Saturday night. The Rhinos can hop back into fifth place with a victory over the visiting Blues tonight.
Goalkeeper Luis Soffner returned to New England to train with the Revolution but his loan has not officially been recalled. Alec Sundly starts tonight in central midfield, a role he has grown into over the course of the season. Fullback Jossimar Sanchez has been on the outside of Rochester's squad looking in since arriving in Western New York.
Orange County Blues FC (8-14-0), 24 points, 11th place
Orange County are coming into tonight's game on a 6-game losing streak, which is noteworthy in a league that can seem like a crapshoot each night. In an odd turn, the Blues played in Pittsburgh on Friday night, play in Rochester tonight, and then move on to play in Charleston on Wednesday night. That's three games in 6 days on an extended tour of the east coast.
Rochester Rhinos starting lineup:
John McCarthy; Pat McMahon, Babacar Diallo, Patrick Slogic, Onua Obasi; Alec Sundly, Tony Walls, Johnny Mendoza; Tyler Rosenlund, Levi Houapeu, Colin Rolfe
Subs: Luis Soffner, Kyle Hoffer, Lance Rozeboom, Mike Garzi, Sam Petrone, JC Banks, Matt Luzunaris
OC Blues FC starting lineup:
Aaron Perez; Stephen Okai, Brenton Griffiths, Fabrice Gautrat, Josh Suggs; Allan Russell, Seung Ju Kim, Alex Martinez; Mohammad Roknipour, Eli Garner, Andrew Hoxie
Subs: James Turner, Gabriel Gonzalez, Mehrshad Momeni, Seth Moses, Dersu Abolfathi, Chris Cortez, Cesar Rivera
Andrew Hoxie, a fan favorite during his time with the Rhinos, is returning to Sahlen's. I know a couple fans who are cheering for Hoxie to score but the Rhinos to win.
