Bobby Shuttleworth - Average Rating 6.67 (Corey 6, Nick 8, Jake 6)
Corey: Bobby wasn't tested all that much, but when he way, he kept the ball out of the net. And that's what matters in the end. Nick: Quiet outing for Bobby, who will now have every decision carefully scrutinized. Commanded his box with poise. Jake: Unlike comrade Nick, I still doubt Bobby's command of his area and his decision making but a clean sheet is a clean sheet.
Chris Tierney - Average Rating 5.67 (Corey 5, Nick 7, Jake 5)
Corey: Bobby wasn't tested all that much, but when he way, he kept the ball out of the net. And that's what matters in the end. Nick: Moved up and down the flank with purpose, and improved his service for the second consecutive week. Still not quite meeting his accuracy potential on set pieces. Jake: His crosses are more dangerous but they're still often right at the opposing keeper. Better, but not great defensively.
Jose Goncalves - Average Rating 6.83 (Corey 6, Nick 7.5, Jake 7)
Corey: Back to form and contract dispute (seemingly) resolved before either problem got out of hand. Nick: Night and day difference form the Houston match. Could he actually be content? Took a few dangerous touches in the back, but an all-around tidy outing. Jake: I hope all of his contract issues have been settle with the front office, he certainly played like they were.
A.J. Soares - Average Rating 6.83 (Corey 6, Nick 8, Jake 6.5)
Corey: Mobile and assertive. Good game from A.J. Nick: Strong, intelligent, consistent showing in the middle. Has put together a quietly-impressive 2014 campaign. Jake: Quiet and solid on defense but still always seems to be booming the ball forward.
Andrew Farrell - Average Rating 8.67 (Corey 8.5, Nick 9.5, Jake 8)
Corey: An absolute monster all afternoon. Farrell was ELITE at RB and should remain there until further notice. Nick: Covered an unbelievable amount of ground on the right side. Quick, agile movement over the ball resulted in a Shane Vereen-like carry through the middle of the park, advertising his balance of speed and strength. Jake: When anyone suggests Farrell might be better as a center back, refer them to this game. He's a right back and a good one.
Andy Dorman - Average Rating 7.83 (Corey 8, Nick 8.5, Jake 7)
Corey: It was a picture-perfect outing for Dorman who stepped in and was able to do all the things we were missing these past 2 weeks. He won second balls, covered well on the backline, helped initiate the attack, muscled attackers off the ball, and even almost scored on a corner. Great game for Dorms. Nick: Drastically improved as the lone holding midfielder. Clogged up the middle of the field with on-point defending, forcing the 'Caps to play almost everything over the top. Good two way game, got forward and had a great scoring chance. Have to assume he's dislodged Caldwell from the starters spot for now. Jake: Good two way game, got forward and had a great scoring chance. Have to assume he's dislodged Caldwell from the starters spot for now.
Diego Fagundez - Average Rating 5.5 (Corey 5.5, Nick 6, Jake 5)
Corey: Not as involved in the attack as we'd all like him to be, but no glaring mistakes either. Nick: Play-making ability returned from the Philadelphia match, but finishing did not. Spoiled a handful of promising opportunities. Jake: I will never fault Diego for taking a shot in most circumstances, but the ones he took lacked confidence and timing. Always seemed to let his defender settle in and block his efforts on frame.
Lee Nguyen - Average Rating 7.83 (Corey 7, Nick 8.5, Jake 8)
Corey: Worked so much better in tandem with Kelyn/Daigo. His most crucial contribution was breaking up play in the midfield and sparking numerous counter attacks. Nick: Wanted three points more than anybody on the pitch. Tracked back on defense, robbed attackers on the counter and stood strong over the ball. Jake: He was everywhere on the field, both on offense and defense, sooner or later he might have to take scoring into his own hands.
Kelyn Rowe - Average Rating 6.83 (Corey 6.5, Nick 7, Jake 7)
Corey: Had a couple good looks on goal, but his finishing wasn't there. Very involved throughout the match. Hoping his hamstring tweak isn't too serious. Nick: Generated creative ideas from start to finish. Much Like Diego, would have bagged the game winner when at his best. Jake: The difference in this team with him and Lee in the center of the midfield is very noticeable, solid overall game.
Saer Sene - Average Rating 5.83 (Corey 5.5, Nick 6, Jake 6)
Corey: Definitely not 100% fit. Looked pretty dogged after 45 minutes. Still needs more time, but still had an encouraging outing. Nick: Showed flashes of strength and creativity throughout. At times, though, he still lacked hustle, which may be a product of less-than-full fitness. Jake: The difference in this team with him and Lee in the center of the midfield is very noticeable, solid overall game.
Teal Bunbury - Average Rating 4.83 (Corey 4.5, Nick 5, Jake 5)
Corey: Fell flat as the Revs' lone striker. His hold-up play was sub-par and he rarely looked dangerous. Time for someone else to get a shot. Nick: Starting to wonder if Teal is better suited as a wide midfielder. Always seems a step behind, and has yet to test an opposing keeper. Jake: Thought the hold-up play was an improvement but couldn't connect with anyone in the attacking third to generate great chances. Maybe starting the game with Sene on the wing and bringing Imbongo in earlier in the 2nd half could help him and the Revs offensively.
Daigo Kobayashi - Average Rating 6.67 (Corey 6, Nick 7.5, Jake 6.5)
Corey: Offered a great injection of life into the match when he came on and he came close to finding a goal. Proving to be a pretty valuable asset to the Revs so far this season. Nick: Played a gritty, tough second half, adding a valuable attacking spark to an already-creative midfield. Wouldn't mind seeing his name in the Starting XI this weekend. Jake: Offense didn't miss a beat with him on the field, really versatile skill set that caused havoc for Vancouver when he was in possession.
Dimitry Imbongo - Average Rating 5.83 (Corey 5.5, Nick 6, Jake 6)
Corey: Should have come on WAY sooner (which is, of course, not his fault). Got himself involved immediately and never let off. Hold-up play was better than Teal's in his short outing. Nick: Countered Bunbury's poor hold up play with scrappy, physical attacking. May deserve a shot as Heaps' lone striker. Jake: Hold up play helped the Revs look for the late winner but not enough time to get really involved.
Scott Caldwell - Average Rating N/A
Jake: Short cameo due to the late injury for Rowe.
