Off season roster moves continue as the Revolution announced that the options on nine players have been declined.

Hours after releasing their protected and unprotected lists for Wednesday's Expansion Draft, the New England Revolution announced that they have declined the options on nine players: Larry Jackson, Joe Nasco, Luis Soffner, Jossimar Sanchez, Shalrie Joseph, Donnie Smith, Alec Sundly, Andre Akpan and Tony Taylor.

Out of the individuals who had their options declined, Smith and Taylor were the only ones to see game action this season. Smith and Taylor each played in one game.

The Revolution also announced that Stephen McCarthy is currently out of contract after not receiving a bona contract offer. McCarthy, who was the 2012 team Defender of the Year, only made one appearance this season.

The club continues to negotiate new contracts with Brad Knighton, A.J. Soares and Teal Bunbury. All other players have had their options exercised or have a guaranteed contract.

The Revolution's roster currently stands at 20, a number that includes the players that are still in contract discussions.
