Despite falling short in the reader tally, Chris Tierney and his curling free kick won our staff over, earning a come-from-behind victory to advance out of the first round. Will Tierney face Patrick Mullins or Charlie Davies in his second go 'round? Make your case below.

Round 1B Matchup

Charlie Davies Off-The-Post Finish vs. Columbus Crew /  Nov. 1, 2014

After giving his club an early 1-0 lead, Davies went back to work in the second frame, using a Scott Caldwell through ball to advance into the attacking third. Both defenders gave Davies a cushion and, with the stroke of his right foot, he capitalized, sending a long-range strike off the far post and into the back of the net.

Patrick Mullins Rocket vs. Toronto F.C.  /  May 3, 2014

Down 1-0 early in the first half, the Revolution found an equalizer off the foot of Patrick Mullins. The rookie collected a quick touch from Daigo Kobayashi and rocketed a shot inside the near post, opening his MLS scoring account with a screamer past Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

Poll closes at 12:00am EST on Sunday, December 28th.
