Joseph, McCarthy and Akpan Available in Friday's Re-Entry Draft

Three Revolution players are available in Friday's Re-Entry Draft.

Stage one the Re-Entry Draft will take place on Friday, December 12 at 3:00 p.m. Included on the list of 62 available players are Shalrie Joseph, Stephen McCarthy and Andre Akpan.

Joseph rejoined the New England Revolution this year after stints with Chivas USA and the Seattle Sounders. Unfortunately the league legend battled with various injuries and never made an appearance. At 36 years old, Joseph is nearing the end of his career so it will be interesting to see if a team grabs him.

In 2012, McCarthy played a career-high 28 games while being named the team's Defender of the Year. This season McCarthy was limited to a sole appearance as he played 90 minutes in a losing effort to FC Dallas. The midfielder-turned-defender is a solid MLS prospect that should garner some interest.

Akpan moved to New England as part of a trade that sent Saer Sene to the New York Red Bulls. The Harvard University standout never saw the field for the Revolution. With only four goals and two assists in five MLS seasons, it's unlikely that Akpan gets selected.

Additionally, Dimitry Imbongo, who was recently traded to the Colorado Rapids, is part of tomorrow's draft.
